Vampires?!

Okay I need someone to explain to me what the attraction is with vampires. They're everywhere!!! All I see on tv is vampires, everyone is obsessed with Twillight, now the Vampire Diaries...and I just finished watching Criminal Minds and they had a show on a girl who thought she was a vampire?! I don't get it

I feel like I'm missing out on some secret

Lol I think it is all because of Twilight.. even if some things were popular in their own right, they are doing a lot better than they would have because of Twilight, lol.

It's always been wildly popular. It goes through stages of popularity depending on things like movies and tv shows. Remember 'Interview with a Vampire' and Bram Stoker's Dracula? Those are just the recent ones - then there are all the original vampire shows in black and white (haven't seen them to be honest, so couldn't name them, lol) and the historical fascination with them since before the time of film.

I think generally speaking, people have had a fascination with vampires because they are fascinated with the idea of something that lives beyond death, which touches off our collective desire/hope that there is life after death. Add the macabre and morbidly fascinating idea of feeding off human blood, and it's a recipe for Hollywood success!

i didnt like the first twilight film i thought it was very overrated but i have to say vampires are sexy hahha

Iv been obsesed with vampires since watching interview with a vampire when i was 9. I watched buffy and angel and cryed when they finished.

i think vampires are so sexy cuz they r so powerful and in the films they always have a strange hold over women and they are dark and mysterious i cant spell today lol

i had a dream where john claude van dam was a vampire hahah it was great
