Venture

my friend got a leflet from venture when shopping in morrisons thats said for £25 you get a photoshot and a picture so she went along with her family had all the pics done then had to go back for a slide show of the pics once their she got the brochure with prices and when she shown me my jaw hit the floor £300 for a desktop pic WTF £1000 for a bigger pic.

my friend said the pics were so good and her family had gone through the trouble of buying new clothes and didnt want to say no so they spent £2000 on a few pics what a jip the dongle she got you cant get the pics of it to print all you can do is look at them on the computer they got two desk top pics and a bigger one and a album with 15 pics in it and they gave her the dongle for free even tho she cant do nowt with it

i know a few people on her have ad them but my friend is now paying so much a month plus interest for a very long time i would never pay that much no matter how nice they are.

i just paid £100 from max speilman and i got a big canvas pic 12 smaller ones 3 bigger ones and all the photos on disc and the pics are brill so whats the point next year she will want to change them as her little one is only 1 and will change so much

we just got our venture pics back and i am really pleased with them. To be fair though, i was dead cheeky and kept sweet talking the bloke into giving me two sets of 3 pics for £625 and he did!! They are amazing and it was a great experience.
Its a shame that she felt bullied into it though as some of them are scarily expensive and it is easy to spend a fortune. That dongle is a right rip off, i told him they should give it you free seeing as you can't do anything with the pics and it should be free to take home and view so you can decide in your own time. They wanted £600 for them but he was prepared to chuck it in for £300, i told him to keep it!

I love our pics as Lilia has baby acne and her skin in our pics is flawless and they have captured the kids really well, plus we had the money to spend but i would warn people that the offers that they sell for a tenner are just to get you in and that unless you are happy with a free 7x5" pic then be prepared to spend big!

Here's some of our pics (they are much better IRL as these are photos of a photo!):

they are good pics but they are no way worth the money the ones ive just ad done are just the same except josh has got colour in his face the ones that venture do i seem to find they make you look really pale and with josh having slightly red hair i wouldnt like this at all.

one of my other friends said that they do the pics so you cat scan them some how one mate said hers were on card board and not photo paper is this the same with yours ??

not sure as they are sealed in the frames. it really is personal preference i think, we struggle to get Reno to smile naturally but as they dont "pose" you as such then we caught him really well and its so worth it to us.

We went to venture last year, Olivia had just started crawling and it was alot of fun, We also were shocked at the prices but ordered 2 pictures from them any way and when we picked them up we realised they were worth every penny, they are fantastic quality and the really make the statment in the living room.

I'm all for venture

It is expensive, but I went with my mum in 2001 and got loads of pics taken, we had a £100 off voucher I think... V happy with the pics and I'd go again, they might've knocked some of the price off as they screwed up a couple of times and the studio was quite a way from home, so we went to pick them up and had to go home empty handed because they made a mistake.

I do think it's worth it if you've got the money to spend, shouldn't feel pressured into it though!

xx

if you have the money then yes i would go but i just dont see why people would want to pay £1000 on one pic when you can get the same quality from someone else for a fraction of the price my friend got some pics done for £150 and they were so much better than venture i think i might try them next year x

WE had some done for my nan a few years ago and yes, they were good, but no better than what we could have got elsewhere!

We just had Imogens done at Pixi and we have got 2 massive canvasses and IIRC 12 other prints for £270
