I'm Currently Feeling: | I get the impression though that they seem to think that (initally at least) she ran away. Do you get that too?
I'm not sure on the walking home thing, but then my children aren't that age and I'll have a better idea at that time. I'm sure I was about 7 when I was walking home from school (around a mile and across a busy main road) though I had my older brother in tow. He is 2 years older than me so he would've been 9 at first. Mind you that was many, many years ago... sigh! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ive been following this as it's quite close to me as well.
I read in the papers that they suspected she had ran away and that her older brother had done the same a couple of times but had always came back. I hope she is at a friends house hiding or something because the nighttimes around here have been absolutely bitterly cold the past few weeks.
They really shouldn't have let the little girl walk home on her own, but it happened and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
I hope they find her safe and sound.

I'm Currently Feeling: | I remember i used to always walk to and from school at that age, my primary school was literally just around the corner from my house, about 100/150 metres or so. And everyone did. I don't think i would let mine now though, times are changing, you hear so many things about children being abducted by peadophiles and murderers. Its sooo scary, it was only the other day the school warned parents (at my nephews school) that a man had tried dragging a little boy into a car. |
