bed suggestions

We need a new bed....I'm sick of the old one and so is DH - we've had 5 beds in as many years and still have yet to find one that we like

We know what mattress we want, but I was wondering what factors help you decide on a bed?

Just go on the bedroom decor personally & what matches

Like at the moment our room is dark wooden beams & furniture so I bought a black frame bed & matching black & glass bedside table

How solid it looks lol, and as Wobbles said - if it fits in well with the decor.

Tell me about it, the wooden panel running down the middle of our bed snapped clean in half lmao, we got all the jokes about being animals and stuff.

The first thing i look at is how comfy the headboard will be for when i want to sit up in bed and watch tv or something lol.

At the minute i have a stupid metal bedstead and it kills my head lol, but it was the only one i could go into a store and take away there and then as i needed a bed in 24hrs!!

Ohh like Holly said, i looked for a 'comfy' headboard...mine is cushioned! It's comfy to sit up in bed while reading...and no more banging my head on the hard surface (if you know what i mean!)

I didn't have anything in mind when I found our bed. I saw it, liked it, could afford it, so that was that. It is big and sturdy, and will last use for many years. I saw it as an investment peice. I didn't want anything that was too ornate, I like simple clean lines, and that is what my bed is. It is something I won't get tired of.
