Hey all. My mum has a whole room dedicated to making cards and hers are out of this world. She specialises in acetate cards but thats way over my head.
She is on a tight budget and she swears by :
basic card to make the cards not the ones prefolded etc.
Get ribbons cheap from a material/haberdashery shop. Or even you know sometimes on clothes you get the ribbon to hang them up but you dont use it.......she is very thrifty!!
Also make use of paper bags shops give you to put things in as sometimes these are decorative.
Also gift wrapping paper instead of the old scrapbooking paper etc.
She also makes stamps out of sponge and spuds lol.
The main good investments as mentioned before is a gullotine,a cutting mat and some tweezers etc oh and forget liquid glue and glue dots........try the glue you get on a roll........like in the shape of a typpex mouse but glue. Dont buy the dear ones though as cleap ones do or even basic double sided sticky tape as this holds things better than liquid glue.
She also swears by "the range" shop if there is one in your area? if not they have a very small site online.
Ill try and think of some more stuff.
