my MIL reckons she was thrown down the stairs by a ghost once - i think she was probs just pissed tho my dad lived in a haunted house tho, there was a little girl there and she used to come down and sit on the stairs (they were the sort that came down into the living room) and he'd just sit there and talk to her (friggin fruit loop!) everyone that moved out of the house always found pine needles in with their stuff!

everything i search for you seems to point too poltergeists and yes i believe they can do harm and in very RARE cases it has been know for a spirit known as incubus to sexually abuse a person not trying to scare you just showing you what i found, if its a boy i dont think that he would try to cause harm but be a bit mischievious and playful if it does carry on bothering you i suggest that you get a local priest to come in and guide your spirit to the light

I'm gonna sound like a nut case now, but my mum had a spirit in her old spare room. Every time someone came to stay, she used to through hairbrushes at them.
Turned out a neighbour in the village used to live in our house and his wife had died in that room. She coincidently used to have a bad habit of throwing hairbrushes at people.
We thought it was her not happy someone was in her room, so we just spoke to her regularly and she calmed down. Every time we walked past the room we'd say "hi, how are you today" and if someone was coming to stay we'd sit in the room and explain someone was going to be staying and to please not throw hairbrushes at them. She was fine after that and we didn't see much of her afterwards.

I'd just say hello next time you see him and speak to him explaining your not taking away his house and he is welcome to stay there. Sounds a little bit crazy but I think if you comfort him like you'd comfort a scared child, he'll leave you alone.

Oh my god, I mean I've had my fair share of scary moments over the last few months but that's just plain creepy!
