I won't go into the tiny details, but I had a snap at boyfriends mum over stuff she was saying that built me up to boiling point, she left the house to go to a mates so I spoke to boyfriends dad. After a long chat about it all (he's a lovely man) he told me that I am just like his wife personality wise and can come across as a bit tough and not the type that would break down and cry (he was shocked to see me in a complete state, shaking and crying) and that if he went to cuddle me he would be worried that he offended me. He said it all in a lovely way and told me that he sees through peoples outer shell, so knows I am a lovely person etc etc.

I was so shocked by this as I am known by my family as being very sensitive and they know that my heart is in the right place and I just want everyone to be happy. Seriously, how could cuddling someone possibly offend them?! Since this, i've been analysing myself and noticing some of my faults.. not giving people enough of a chance before deciding if I do/don't like them, being a bit negative about people etc etc.. but im trying hard to be more positive and happy (although I thought I was doing ok).

So, I know this is hard on a forum to answer maybe, but do I come across in this way even on here??? (you won't offend me) and how can I come across less like this and more warm and cuddly? I love cuddling, but I don't like to cuddle people as I think they won't want me all over them (with a few exceptions obviously), I always feel that people don't like me much, i've got low self esteem and I feel as if im always boring people when im speaking. -small violin starts to play-
I love psychology and analysing people lol, so I wonder if not knowing my dad and stuff like that could have added to these feelings I have of "not being wanted" so to speak? my mum left him because he was violent and he never bothered to see us, no cards, letters, nothing?? maybe thats not it, but im so confused.. please help/advice, anyone??

I think your a nice person by only being able to judge you from a PC - I think you can be a bit to the point BUT thats not always a bad thing PLUS it goes back to the fact its a PC more than often what is meant isn't shown in a post - there is no emotion in most online activity then theres the point of this forum which is to help each other & you have given MUCH help & good information to others (me included so thank you).
