Clean a clothes iron? Mine has some burn marks on the plate, which makes it stick the clothes. Anyone know how you can get these off (not wanting to buy another $40 iron)...

Washing powder and a kitchen sponge, them with green scrubby bit on one side
Works for me, but needs elbow grease

Don't know if it works but did a search and suggestion is heating up equal parts vinegar and salt then rubbing that onto a cool iron. x

Whats an iron? I hate ironing with a passion....I buy clothes that don't need ironing, and I fold the ones that do as they come off the line!! lol
