oops, i broke the freeview box!

omg someone's got to help! i tried putting 5 on before and it was saying 5's moved cos of this retuning your box thing that those bloody messages have been popping up for for the last week. so i tried retuning the box, but couldnt find it, so thought, well i'll do the telly so i can atleast watch it, then do the box.

so i did the tv, thats hunky dory, but now i cant get the box to work! when i go on the channel thing for it its just all fuzzy and i cant get the menu up to retune it! i'm crappin it now that i'm gona miss all my recorded stuff tonight

It needs rescanning there as been advierts sayying lunchtime wenesday u need to reset your box

i turned it off and on and it works lol. god knows what was up with it! probs too much use!

No advice as I don't have Freeview..
It said on the BBC news site this morning that something like 20,000 Freeview boxes will stop working.. Hope yours isn't one of them!

When you returned the TV it probably lost the connection with the freeview box but then picked it up after you tuned it on again.

We had two things to retune too. Annoying! And we have to do it all again don't we in December is it?

i think its november? not sure really. glad its workin tho, OH'd have killed me if we couldnt get stuff recorded tonight! we record everythin and watch it later so we can skip the ads!

We do that too. We can almost never sit down together at the right time. Watch everything during Byron's naps!

You did nothing wrong, during the Wright Stuff this morning he did mention that ch5 had temp stopped airing for some freeview boxes, even if re-tuned. So glad we have cable lol!!

our satelite box acts up soemtimes too, its funny because you suddenly get minus channels. usually a reset is all it needs it is lie a pc after all that also crashes sometimes.
