I'm starting to get a bit upset about all of the liars and fakers on forums such as these lying and saying they're pregnant when they aren't or making up such horrid stories and having us fall for them.

This is the first forum I've ever been on for pregnancy so I've never encountered people like this before. I'm pretty pissed to be honest, because I feel bad for a lot of the people who post on here with their sad stories and I befriend them, then they turn out to be complete liars.

How can people honestly lie about things like this? I don't even know who to trust anymore..

Thank you to the mods for catching people such as this before they drag us into their stories.

I totally agree! This is my first forum too!. And while i believe that most of the people on here are 100% genuine, its just annoying that theres a few that have to ruin it!!. Well done to you admin girls for finding the fakes!!

Unfortunately there are, but liars and fakers eventually make mistakes (it only takes one for them to be caught). The large majority of the people on the forum though are genuine people, you have to look past the few that aren't genuine (hard I know but ultimately worth it in the end because you get to know some great people).

Don't get upset about it
If you think about it in the grand scheme of things we have 2621 members but only a handful have been fakes/liars

It happens and we get rid of them, it's not nice i know and i have kicked myself a lot of times for giving sympathy and they have turned out to be a troll of some kind

At the end of the day they must have a screw loose to spend all day online making things up

Sadly girls this happens not only on pregnancy related forums but any open community where some sort of sympathy can be given. Its rather sad & you wonder WHY! Is it because they are just lonely, because its on this type of forum is there any fertility problems in the past so the fake life makes them feel like they are living it, is it a group of people thinking ha this is hilarious .... either way once they are caught you just have to move on and forget its just life crazy things/people exist everywhere from the PC to real life.

Just try to let them go over your head I assume one of the main reasons they do it is to get a rise from people. I know its hard especially if you have felt for the individual but I suppose be glad thats its only happened online and not personally.

It's awful, I was actually worried about telling my friends I was pregnant as we had a girl in our college class who used to lie about being pregnant. I think it's awful to lie about it when some people actually can't have children, it just seems unfair.

I don't know why but I always thought I'd never be able to have children because I was years behind my friends starting my periods (I was 14 and a half). So for some reason it made me think I couldn't have children so in a way I'm happy this has happened.

But the girl who always said she was pregnant told us on her first day that she was pregnant and had a miscarriage, we had no reason not to believe her. But she always said 'I hated being pregnant, I'm glad I'm not anymore' and then a few months into the course she told us she was 6 weeks pregnant but her boyfriend made her have an abortion, then told us in the same week she was pregnant again and was going to have an abortion anyway. It would of been impossible to tell in the same week I think and then she started changing her mind about the weeks and saying she didn't have an abortion she had another miscarriage. I don't know why she always lied about it, it's not like being pregnant made her a better person. She lied alot, even about other things.
