What was your first car? Or what would you recommend?

Right, well I'm looking to buy a car and just wondered what everyone had as their first car or what they would recommend?
I don't want an engine bigger than 1.4 because I'm 17 so the insurance for anything bigger is stupidly huge and I'm looking to spend up to £1500 and would definitely want a used one.
I want something little and girly! lol but with room for a car seat in the back
Any recommendations?

Thanks

xx

My first car was a Daewoo Matiz and I loved it. I never passed my test, so my dad was always with me in it. Its so cute and looks quite small, but its deceptive. I got my dad, my 6'4" brother an amp and a guitar in it once.

Its a 0.8cc engine (dont laugh!) so it's not the quickest thing in the world but its gets you from a to b.

I bought it when i was 17, and the insurance on it was only £800 fully comp.

Really cheap to MOT and repair, and road tax was £125 a year.

This is mine:

well i got my first car because my dad passed away and he left everything to me. but its a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix. i love it because its sport but at the same time classy. but i would recommend a used Honda because they save you SOO much money on gas and everything. My fiances is getting himself a honda really soon. So i can have my pontiac back LMAO

Ah I was thinking of a Fiat. What are they like to drive? I have a Vauxhall Corsa at the moment but I'm selling it because I hate driving it! But I love the look of the Fiat, are they quite roomy inside?

Haha I'm a woman aswell! lol I'm looking at about £800-£1000 for the year. My budget has just gone up to £2000 thanks to my dad who wants me to have a 'safe' car for the baby lol. Bless him
