Passport forms....

For the counter signature bit can you get your doctor to sign it? Would they charge, and how would you ask them, make an appointment or write to them?

they can do it but i think it can be expensive, depends on what they wanna charge i think, and you just phone the surgery and ask the receptionist if the doc does them

Hi i work in the post office
You only need section 10 filled out and a countersignatory on either a first passport or if you are reapplying and you have changed significantly.

Secetion 10 person can be......"someone of standing in the community"

eg: someone who works in a post office, civil servant(job centre, tax office) , a publican, vicar, Someone at a degree level with a good job, Your boss?depending what they do etc etc.know any of them?
gimme a shout if you need more help.
ALSO lots of people make this mistake..................When you get section 10 person to do back of photos make sure you cut the photos to size first if they are not already and make sure they write in miss, master, mrs etc full title and full name including middles.
xx
Also if you send your app in the post it can take up to 6 weeks..if you do the post office "check and send" it costs 7 quid but its usually back in 2 weeks.

Im sorted for my passprt, its for Rob. The biggest problem is he doesnt know too many people and anyone who hes known for longer than 2 years isnt in the right position other than his doctor.

My doctors charge for anything like that, i think its around ten pounds.

I know when i needed my passport some years ago, i got my next door neighbour who was a managing director at a company to sign it, and it was fine like that.

If it's the first passport you probably will. With Bethanie's, we had to send it then because we had been born after a certain date (me and sonny) we had to provide our parents dates of births and their marriage dates etc.
With yours, if it's a renewal you only need to send your old passport providing you still look similar.

Always read the form thoroughly though as it gives you all the details, I always use check and send too.
