I love hearing about places and different climates so I have a question...

What is the weather like today in your neck of the woods?

When I took OH to work this morning, it was icy and -10F! I think it might be 0 now but the wind is insane and the 3 feet of snow we got the other day is blowing everywhere.

We are still only on about 6-7 hours of light right now too which doesn't help the temp either. LOL

Aww i wish we had snow its just windy and cold here today.

I WANT SNOW

It snowed here about 3 days ago and all that is left is a little bit of slush left on the grass.

just looked at today's weather report and it claims that it will be snowing again by evening time! that's brilliant because i love the snow

I want snow

I love snow too. Having grown up in Southern California (Ventura County), I had never really been in snow for more than a few hours before moving here. This is my first whole winter here and I LOVE it!

I know how you feel! I grew up on a tropical island and this is only my second year living somewhere that has 4 seasons, so when it snows it's really special for me

the first snow of the season, which was in December, i ran outside in my PJs and flip flops and rolled around in it at 12AM (since that is when it started) i was so excited then i froze and came inside for a hot cup of cocoa

Well it was icy this morning and we´d had a frost overnight, so its been a bit chilly all day. Usually we´ve got lots of snow at this time of the year, but it seems to be staying away - hopefully we´ll get some soon as my brother is coming over in two weeks and he wants snow!!

@ genkigemini - we´ll prob not get as much snow as you up in Alaska though. Fantastic place to live though, we spent our honeymoon there last September and did quite well weatherwise!! Mt McKinley was not covered in cloud - didn´t get to see any Northern Lights tho

You know... i have lived here for a year and still not seen the Northern Lights. I always miss them!!!

I looked early this morning but they were not out. I am going to start aurora watching again though since the temp has gone done a lot.

This state is beautiful. I love it here! (Although Homers opinion of Alaska in the Simpsons movie is pretty spot on. "Alaska - Where no one is ever too fat and never too drunk!" (I don't drink but seeing as the bars in my borough are open until 5am and reopen at 8am, that tends to be true. LMAO)
