First driving lesson, eek!

My boyfriend has booked me my first lesson for the 11th February and im nervous but also excited as I have wanted to learn for years. Im such a worrier though and will no doubt be shaking like mad, so I want to be prepared. I've just received the new theory test/hazard test in the post and I am going to be revising.

Any tips for my first lesson?
Most important things to concentrate on? (revision wise)
How many attempts did it take you to pass?

Good luck with your lessons hun!! My DH taught me how to drive in his car hehe i wasn't bad, but was a bit scared! I drove in an empty parking lot a long while before heading onto the real roads!

I had 2 hour lessons when I started an hour goes in fast when your time starts from your house to destination learner takes you to

I was soooo nervous but it wasn't so bad when it came to it

Try not to think of what you should be doing before you even do it - go with flow!

Good luck

I think my tip for the first lesson is to stay calm and make sure you go at ur own pace, don't try and rush or feel pressured to go faster than u want (learning wise not speed wise! lol)
I have my test next Monday, I'm so so scared!
Good luck hun, let us know how you get on

Aww good luck, you'll be fine!

Just stay calm and take it easy. The first lesson will be a bit scary but once its over you'll be dying to get back in the driving seat!!

you wil be fine... relax and enjoy it... once you can drive think of all the places you can visit!!! Try to stay calm and it will take time, try not to get to frustrated if u make a mistake believe me all people learn at different paces and some get the hang of it straight away, some takes a little longer. I didnt pass my test til I was 23( 3 yrs ago) and I love driving and i wouldn give it up 4 the world, even tho i had 2hr lessons for a year once a week!!!!!! good luck xxx enjoy it xxxx

I just used to think......'everyone had to learn, and everyone has been in my position!' calmed me down when I got frustrated with other drivers getting too close!

You'll be fine, let us know how it goes tho
