Just before christmas my partner decided to buy one of them 14 gallon goldfish starter kit thingys.

we bought 2 goldfish for it

followed pets shops advice to let tank settle for 7 days before buying fish

i have just looked in the tank and poor fishy (big fish) tails has been half eaten off by bob.

can anyone help what do we do

I bought goldfish a few years back was well pleased got loads of fish and 1 fish ate all the others I called him jaws

Fish can be a bit territorial and try to show who is the boss.
My old fish used to do this to each other so i went out and bought the biggest plastic fish i could find and put that in and the *boss* fish didnt like it but he soon settled hehe.
Now i just have that problem with my pet rats......both female and they playfight but they squeak and it terrifys me as it sounds worse than it is! little sods!
