Grr! Dell rant!

In the past week my OH has managed to blow up the computer, his new mobile phone, his guitar amplifier and my ipod charger.

Since his guitar amp and the computer broke, he decided that we NEEDED a new PC because he 'Needs something to play his guitar through'. So much to my delight, we forked out £250 of our baby savings on a new PC. So I wasn't in the best mood about it to start off with.

Dell rang Matt on Wednesday and left a voicemail saying that the PC would be delivered Thursday (yesterday) between 8am and 1pm, so I took a day off work (much to my bosses delight) to stop in and wait for it as we dont have a car and getting to the other side of Leeds for the depot would be more hassel than its worth.

I stayed in all day waiting and nothing arrived.

The voicemail we got said that if the delivery time was ok then we werent to do anything, if we wanted to change it to ring back. It was fine, so we left it as it was.

Today I rand Dell to complain about why on earth we had paid a £50 delivery charge and taken time off work to wait for the PC when it never arrived. The lady on the phone said that Matt had rang and arranged the order to be delivered on the 22nd of January and no voicemail had been left for him. I said that that couldn't possibly be true, because his mobile is knackered (it's the microphone thats broken so he can hear people, they just can't hear him). I said I wanted the delivery charge back for the inconvenience and then she gave me a mouthfull about how we were wrong and how we were making up shit about what had happened. She was talking over me and being really really rude. So I shouted at her and had a rant about how I thought her customer service was disgusting (she kept saying 'no, you're wrong' to me). I said to her 'can I speak to the manager?' and she said 'no, he's on the phone' and I said 'fine can I take your name please?' and she hung up!

I rang back and she hadn't even recorded that Id made the call.

Grr!

My pregnancy hormones have proper wound me up about it. Im so annoyed!

Rant over haha

I can't believe she'd be so blatantly rude to you, I'd call back and keep talking to managers until one of them apologized to you.

Theyre refusing to take any blame for it. Apparently theres no managers and they cant escalate it because its our fault.

Dell is known to have the worst Customer Service. I went through my own hell with them around christmas when I ordered my new laptop. But in the end, they gave me $100 credit. So stick with it....Talk to Supervisors...when you call just ask fo ra supervisor.

Good Luck

Thanks At least its not just me!

Part of me is hoping it doesnt turn up tomorrow to be honest, just so I have an excuse to ring and shout again. It was quite theraputic actually and we might have a chance at getting some money back.

Fingers crossed
