Driving lessons for an automatic

Has anyone done their lessons for an automatic only?

I've never liked the thought of driving - tried naughtily in later teens as you do but horrid feeling never looked back on NOT driving but as time goes on I'd like to get about! I had lessons last year for my birthday & I liked the 'idea' but wasn't overly keen think I'd like to go for it again buut just for an automatic license?!

Wondering if anyones done same and how many lessons you took before passing

I took driving lessons for a manual car but my instructor also had an automatic which he asked if I would like to take out for an hour of my 2 hour lesson so I could see the difference.

Its much simpiler to driving a manual and felt really strange having no clutch but if a manual car puts you off i'd strongly recommend you give an automatic ago.

Every one is different on how quickly they pick up learning to drive a car wether it be automatic or manual, some people only need a handful of lessons where as others need a lifetime...

But i'd certainly say give it ago wobbles... I picked it up fairly easily... it may be the same for you

I'd probably go for an automatic when taking lessons what i do dread is getting used to using my left hand to change gears (i.m used to steering with my left hand and using my right hand on the controls on the forklift truck) need to get my passport sorted first before i get my driving licence, was gonna do it this week but the bitch at the housing decided to tell me i'm £87 in arrears with our rent
