I don't like the cheap meat either, firstly because of all the hormones the animals are pumped with that I'd be consuming (along with my kiddies) and secondly because I hate the thought of them being badly treated. I don't think that I am a better person because I choose not to eat battery reared, it's just my personal choice. I do wish that more people made the same decision because the demand for cheap meat would go down and farmers would be forced to bring up animals in better conditions. But I understand that not everyone feels the way that I do and therefore things wont change dramatically, plus there is a lot of head burying when it comes to thinking about where our food comes from.

I watched a video about KFC and saw how they treat the chickens, it was really upsetting me and last month I saw a van of lambs on the way to an abertoir and started crying like a twit, my boyfriend told me there is one just down the road (I never knew) now when I walk past, I feel really upset and the smell is horrible.. nasty! I know they are killed for us to eat, but id rather not know to be honest! Bones, gristle and everything like that put me off.

There are a fair few farms around here that sell eggs, never thought to buy them from there to be honest. Think I will really taste that difference? do they clean the eggs up? or is it good ol country, feathers and all type thing? because I would feel pretty put off with that.

Wobbles - I don't know if you mean meat or organic veg as well, but you can definitely taste the difference with a lot of the veg!! Only problem is the price tag, so I only really buy it every so often for Bethanie.

By the way, I would just like to proudly say that we just popped to Sainsburys and got 2 packs of chicken goujons for £6.. sue me.

I love KFC, a nice Zinger Tower Burger with a side portion of Crispy Strips...yummy!

Im intrigued to know what everyone does for their mince, bacon etc? As cruelty goes on with these animals too.

I buy Morrison's The Best mince-the only reason I do is its the only mince I have never found grissle in-I hate things like that.eeeww

Cheaper mince can be nasty (grissle wise)! Butcher mince is usually reasonible price wise.

I dont know about the red side of meat so much but when I buy I get from Waitrose and get Lean Steak mince (organic) and bacon I buy in thick slices get about 5 slices really thick with no fat. Expensive but I work hard enough to buy it.

I went to get a Chicken today and they had all sold out! Which is great news I guess but I had to buy bloody fish oh well healthy at least. And as for Fish I buy Farmed fish which is better for our over-fished sea's. but that is another debate all together, lol.

DH gets our meat from the butchers near where he works. It's locally produced meat, often cheaper than the supermarkets.
