Now hang on just a minute.

Not once did I say anyone was wrong,I just said I felt sad that no-one gave a damn about how the animals were kept and as long as they were "cheap" meat thats all that mattered.

Bloody ridiculous that Layla has immediately jumped on Beanie to get personal with issues about parenting, how did this happen. I thought this forum was a friendly place and know that, that is what Wobbles tries to achieve. I just noted three/four people attack Beanie for her views,Beanie I dont think was being offensive just saying her viewpoint as she see's it. And just because others dont agree then she is taking the moral highground? No I dont think so.

For goodness sake there is so much shit in this world. I sometimes cannot believe what I read!

Lets agree to disagree on this one.
B.

I don't think anyone attacks views I think people reply back to posts that make them feel like their ways is looked down on.

No offense to Beanie but comments like "if your happy to buy your 2 for £5" I mean that looks quite off & can get peoples backs up.

I buy 2 for £5 deals for instance and some of the comments here (not just the one I mentioned) have made me feel uneasy and cheap! I don't like being made to feel like I'd be a bad parent for buying from a supermarket, Im cheap (?) and I shouldn't eat without being blagged with a load of tosh!

I do not like the thought of cruelty to animals - I cannot watch such programs but then again I can't watch the likes of casualty. And I know there have been programs on foods thats are supposingly grown prepared more naturally BLAH that is bullshit. Just slap a bigger pound sign on the packaging (not always but it is the real world!)

Thats my last reply on the subject anyway - I believe it was people being pounced on (imo) with in your face replies not just 'oh this is my way' (intentially I doubt it but still looks that way). Kind of agree with some of kx's post too!

I can see where you are coming from with Cheap word entirely. I think it is such an emotive subject and there are bound to be many diverse opinions on the subject. I am fortunate as I have three friends who are farmers and can get the Chickens/meats relitively at cost price but if I cant then i do pay throught the nose. But it is a life style choice. I was brought up in the country and you kind of think differently here I am a country-oik lol

I didnt mean any offense and anyone who knows me knows this to be true. I just thought Beanie was being jumped on a little too quickly thats all and Beanie will tell you,we have had difference of opinions believe me.

Anyway thats it from me think I have gone off Chicken for time being tho lol

There is nothing better than Farm Fresh Eggs.

When I was younger we had a farm and pet chickens. I loved the eggs. Yummy

The programme didn't shock me too much as I'd previously seen that programme on MacDonalds - "Supersize Me" which gave an insight into mass farmed chickens and their (lack of) wellbeing.

Each to their own what and how they buy things but certainly being informed of the animal's breeding etc is a good thing - if you continue to buy those chickens then that's fine but at least you know WHAT you are buying.

We eat a lot of meat dishes but I don't put a lot of meat in them at all, we're lucky that we have 4 really good butchers in our town who can tell you which farm and conditions all the produce has come from.
