Urgh.....Confusing

So we had the offer accepted on the house but I'm so confuddled!!!

Went to the agents today to give some I.D, solicitors details and mortgage promise. Asked he when the house will be changed to 'under offer' on the internet and also the for sale sign changed or removed. They told me none of that would be done until we've had the survey done?? In the mean time people can still view and make offers on the house all the agent has to tell them is that an offer has been accepted!

Does anyone know if the 'under offer' & surveyor bit is correct?

I was panicing before so I called the bank and asked once we paid the money for the survey (doing on friday) how long will it take the surveyor to come out they said it could be the next day other wise it would be within 5 working days after the amount paid? That quick??

Anyone any good at these confusing things???

Thanks

xx

Well thats what I said to the agent but apparently none of that happens until the survey has been done?

I was thinking of calling them tomorrow and saying 'put it as under offer or I'll pull out?' or ringing one of their other offices (not as me) pretending to be interested in a property and saying we did have and offer on a property *with another agent* that fell through *because of a higher offer* and just ask once an offer is accepted with one of their properties do they market it as 'under offer' I'd just tell them if they didn't I wouldn't use them. If they said that was the case I would take the persons full name and then call my office back and tell them what I'd just been told?
