We've had our wee fire on last couple of days! I even left the vent on my drier inside the house rather than out the window OH wasn't impressed

I miss my real open coal fire in N.Ireland

That was the only problem well when I say ONLY my first experience with coal fires wan't very good!

I moved into my first place I didn't have much but I had the essentials an spent my first whack of cash on carpets I had a gorgous green/mint thick carpet in my living room! I had one of my windows broke which was boarded up til it could be fixed it was getting REALLY windy (I was 17 btw) but on Christmas eve the chimney went on fire I was devasted the fire men came out an over the rest of the carpet they went in their big boots I was standing next to the broken window an the board went straight over my head with the wind being so strong I didn't know if to be embarrased or cry - I opted to cry - I rang my after care worker who was miles away in tears I didn't know what to do her hubby came about 50 miles to fix it for me brought me a bottle of wine & fags LOL
