| I'm with you on that one. I found it really strange. To be honest I didn't like the way the dolls looked. Kinda freaky, like demon dolls yeuch!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Not to my taste but I don't see why people are getting so het up about it, they're not hurting anyone, its their money and if they want to spend it on a doll or travelover to America let them. We all do things that don'tmake sense to others but thats life. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Its their money though. Tell you what why don't you write down what you spend all your money on and I'll tellyou how you could better spend it. I spend lots of money on going out and visiting friends but if you were to say to me I could spend that better on helping out children tbh I would tell you where to go as you would say to me no doubt. How do you know that none of the women were giving money to children's charities??? As for if I would do it,no but that is because I don't want a doll as like I said beforeits not to my taste personally but one woman I know wantedone of her daughter so she could remember what she was like when she was born - I see no difference between that and having the casts done of the feet.
edit: just re-read it and it sounded arsey when it was meant to be tongue in cheek. Though I am still of the opinion that they earn their money so they can spend it as they please. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | but just because you don't understand it doesn't make it wrong. I don't understand it either but then I enjoy really heavy rock music and a lotof my friends don't understand why I like it. This is their hobby and they are not hurting anyone. I know a woman who collects porcelein dolls (not the ones that look like babies) its her hobby.
I did't get the impression the grandmother was replacing her grandson with a doll, more that the doll was a reminder to her of her baby grandson who she misses terribly. She still spoke to her grandson ad it was obvious that she loved the real oe much more then the doll. |

| My friend was telling me about this programme today....Beanie didnt someone on the other forum make these dolls? I seem to remember some people having some made to look like thier babies....I dont see anything wrong with that, although I wouldnt personally want one I have a fear of dolls!!!! But I do think its extreme treating it like it is a real baby and pushing it around it prams thats what we do as children, I agree with Tif, why not foster or adopt ?
their are 2 women in our town and they walk around with a pram with nothing in it and keep the hood covered over and pretend there is a baby...was in BHS one day 2 women went over and said let me look at your baby and nothing was there...she said it was a joke she was playing on someone! |
