So I turned on my phone yesterday evening after having turned it off for my midwife appointment. I get the two following texts.

BFF #2: Did you spot before your period when you got pregnant?

BFF #1: Off to rehab. No joke. Will talk to you when I can.


Now either of these texts would have floored me, but together is was just nuts. BFF#2 is totally pregnant-she has many signs and the timing is just perfect, so I will be totally surprised if she is not. My only worry for her is that I don't think she is ready for this. Her husband is totally ready and he is the one who charts her cycle.

BFF#1 I don't know what to think. I had no idea she was using, that she was in trouble and it is killing me. I feel like such a shit friend for not seeing that she needed help and was hurting. I love her like a sister and would do anything for her. I am also a bit pissed off. She is my best friend, we have been through a lot together and she couldn't confide in me, couldn't tell me she was in trouble and needed help. WTF? So I have no idea what is going on in her world. I just have to wait for her to call me, which could be up to a month from now if she is already in rehab. So until I speak to her, I have no idea what to do to get ready to support her, to help her once she gets out, to see if something I did enabled her and to learn how not to do that. I am glad she is seeking the help she needs, I just hate that she is having such a hard time.

The using one, I wouldn't get mad at her it's probably not her keeping stuff from you, it's her paranoia

sometimes the people we are closest to are the ones that are the hardest to tell our problems to, we dont want to worry them or disappoint them or embarrass ourselves , the fact that she smsed u to tell u where she would be was a big step

That's just it, I have no idea. She has not been talking to me. I just chalked it up to the fact that December is a crazy busy month for her because of family stuff. I do know that she has avoided hanging out with me to some extent since I have been pregnant. She has 2 kids, and has every other friday night off from them. Before I got pregnant, she was up every week like clockwork. After my BFP she has only made plans with me once, which she then broke. So I just really don't know what is going on with her. And there is nothing I can do but wait.

aaww whunni try not to stress about ur bbf#2 as she was scared how u would react and was scared that she did not know who to turn too its good shes getting help does not make u a bad friend bbf#1 if shes not ready to get pregs she needss to tel DH as once its born she cant take it bk if that is how shes feeling

I could probably find a number for her mom, but I kinda feel like I would be intruding right now. If she wanted to tell me everything, she would have done so. As frustrating as it is, I just have to wait for her to open up to me.
