i got 2 ps2 games, but have a ps3(the ps2 games are compatable (sp) on the ps3, but wen i tried to play it, the guitar wudnt connect, is the ps3 controller not compatable with the ps2 game???

does anyone know lol

no idea sweetie, but I've been wondering summit, (not a dig honest!) people who play guitar hero....why don't they just learn to play guitar? it's so much fun!

Sorry, can't help for sure, but I think that if the game is for PS2 and the guitar for PS3, it may not work...can you call a game store and check?

And I have to admit, I was never good at actual guitar, but (if I ever get to play) I'll like GH3....Rock Band too! Though I want to play the drums on that one and for that you actually have to have some drum knowledge...

Hmmmm I was wondering this too..

I looked it up and so far they said it isn't compatible because of the controller... but apparently (very soon) they're coming out with an adapter to make the ps2 controller work on the ps3, so it would work then.

BUT... When I kept reading, people said that the adapter still won't work for GH2.. that's stupid. Do you have a ps2 as well?

I think people play it because it's fun and a bit challenging.. no doubt real guitar is great, but on guitar hero you have to go up to insane speeds and battle with other people-- just another way to have fun I suppose. Just like playing sports games instead of going out to play, ye know?

truthfully, I can't grasp it (and I don't mean to be rude), hubby is the same, maybe it's cause we're musicians? Do sporty people have difficulty grasping sporting games (like wii sports)? I'd imagine they would but i've never asked one...

We have a PS2, also a PS3, but our Rock Band and GH3 is for the XBox 360...yes, we have a lot of consoles! Looking at the Wii, but we may wait as it's looking like there maybe a new Wii coming out in 2009...

We both love music but can't play it to save our lives. However, we got them more so that when we have people over we have party games. And I love the drums and Rock Band you (supposedly) have to be able to actually play the drums to be good at it. And I had lessons years and years ago from a friend's brother and I was not bad...And we love the music that comes with GH3 and Rock Band. that's another reason. We realize that we'll never be able to play an actual guitar, but we pick up the game and feel like we are a part of the band without having to practice a lot......bad I know, but hey, whatever. as long as we have fun.

lol! most sporty people I know love sporting games.. especially my sister, she loves football and basketball on the xbox.

My hubby is also a musician, a bassist for a band and a guitarist as well, but LOVES guitar hero, even though he doesn't take his hands off his bass all day long. I suppose it's all in your taste of games and what you do and do not like to play? Who knows, maybe if you gave it a go you'd like it? Like I said, I guess it all boils down to your taste in games. Guitar Hero seems to be quite a hit so I'd imagine it's quite fun-- though I've never played it. I'm more of an RPG girl myself.

yea i have a ps2 as well lol, and a wii(getting an xbox 360 soon too)

i have the ps3 format controller(guitar) and it dont work wi my ps2 game, which is pants cos ps3 have only brought out 1 GH game so far
