blessed



When i had just gave birth to you,
They placed you on my chest,
You opened your eyes and smiled at me,
I knew i had been blessed.

Your tiny hand curled round my thumb,
You snuggled into my breast,
I was overcome with such feelings,
With this child I had been blessed.

As I watch you sleeping,
Your breathing soothing me,
I cannot help but feel
How much you complete me.
