Baby name remorse

I read this news article online today about changing your baby's name. Like, you name your baby Mike then a year later realize you wish you named your baby Matt, and then have it legally changed. I never really thought about that, or even thought people actually did that. It was an interesting read.

In the article it gave an example of one little girl who found out her parents had first named her Emma and later changed it to Caroline...and the little girl then made it known that she would have actually preferred Emma over Caroline! That must have been a "doh! " moment for the parents!

I remember my parents telling me they almost named me Carol! I'm glad they didn't because I like my name a lot more than that , but the article made me think...what if my name was different?

here's the article if anyone would like to read it: http://www.cnn.com/2008/LIVING/perso...nge/index.html

Ive had mine changed lol, when my mum remarried, we took on my dads surname as well as the one from out biological father, My Twin sister got to keep her name as my mum still liked it, but mine got changed, It was changed and now isnt counted in my name, but my old confirmation name is in my name, now im Samantha-Joanne Hannah Catherine Parker-Banks lmao, it's awful. Cant wait to be Sammie Banks-Matthews lol

i dont think i'd ever change my childrens names, they have those for certain reasons, and after the thought process that goes into it, why change it lol. mine was only because i was changing my name by deed poll anyway for my surname and HATED Helan-Arabella Catherine it just didnt suit lol, and my didter got given Blake-Adelaide Hannah which i think is just funky lol, i was always jealous haha althought now she's Blake-Adelaide Hannah Mary Andrews. we both have such long winded names lol

I wish I'd called Alex, Gabriel. I really wanted to and should have stuck to my guns, but noone else liked it in my family. From my 20 week scan til he was born I called him Gabe.

All of us kids took on our step-dads/adoptive-dads surname which is Whyte but we all kept our original surnames aswell!!!

We all have double-barreled surnames
