can you be TOO prepared?

Is there such thing as being too prepared for when you have a baby? I'm TTC but have had an hobby of buying things when i was younger and have been buying for about 3 years just the odd things in sales and stuff,

but i know had most things i need
like, breastpump, bottles, reuasable nappies, toys. clothes, thermometer etc,
can you be too prepared? x did anyone else buy stuff during TTC and before TTC? x

I admittedly do have various things, most of it was given to me for when i needed.
I used to get the odd thing if it was a bargain but ive stopped now. Dont wanna end up with too much stuff.

I don't buy anything because I don't want to get my hopes up. The first thing I will buy will be when I see the BFP!

I pick up odds and ends when I see a good bargain....But I don't have many major things, just bits and pieces...
