My sister suspected swine flue....**now confirmed**


.... ?!

She picked me and courtney up this morning too

What are the risks?? her symptons started yesterday but just throat and feeling abit sick! I feel abit sick this morning, the doc is phoning my sis back and shes going to ask what are the chances of me and courtney getting it...

The longer your with them then the bigger the chance of getting it. Its spread like normal flu so if you were only with her for a short time and she dident cough or sneeze then the chance is less.

My Jake as symptons but iwas told unless they have a temp of 39.5 or above theyre not treating it as swine flu ...he is still pretty ill and sure thats wat it is ...tho nearest place to get tamiflu is 45 miles away now x

She may not have it. Dont worrie untill you know for sure. The are saying every ones got suspected swine flu if they have a feaver and 1 other simptom to cover themselfs.

I took her temp this morning and it was fine, your right though they are covering their backs alot...!! Its horrible!

I think the temp thing takes pee tbh ..jake is 13 he as sneezes snot sickness tired and its knocked him off his feet pretty sure he as it but without temp they wont treat ...asked about my 6 wk old was told no precautions can be taken and when she gets it they,ll treat then yep the doc said when not if

Hi hun. Two of my friends have it. The doc has said

you can catch of someone while they have symptoms.

The incubation period is 5-7 days, so if you had it you can't pass it on while your not symptomatic.

If she has sneezes or coughed onto a soft surface the bug can only live for 20 mins or 24 hours on a hard surface.

There is every chance you could have got it from her, but there is no way of knowing until the symptoms come. I've been with my 2 friends and i haven't got it of them though.
