We just received a gift from my DH's brother. A ice bucket. Now, don't get me wrong, I am very thankful that he took the time to send us a lovely present. But, seriously, who uses an ice bucket anymore? He is well aware of the fact that I am pregnant, so it is not like we are icing down a nice bottle of white or a bottle of my favorite bubbly. Plus we already have an ice bucket we never use. I just hate getting gifts I will never ever use. ok, rant over.

wouldnt mind so much, but we just got a new toaster a few weeks back and he was with me at the time!

No lilimumma that is just horrible. Sadly, this was his gift to my DH and I, a couples gift. I just hate thinking that I do the same thing, that I give someone something, and they think, oh great, wtf was she thinking. This is why I now either flat out ask or do edible gifts.

Most of my presets from family are "Oh, erm, yeah, great." LOL

i didnt mean it horribly, some people, like Josh are ok at buying stuff, it's just my dad lol, he's one of the hopeless ones. If my mum was buying us couply stuff then we'd get something else, or something sensible i guess, but my dad buying for us is like that lol. Wish i spoke to my mum still :'(

I have the same feeling .... which is why it takes me twice as long to do my xmas shopping.

My mother once got me a little winnie the pooh jam pot set .... yet i have detested jam since i was a baby, so even close family can get it wrong lol
