That's exactly why all 3 of mine are indoors. It's a little cramped in our little apartment but I think it's way worth it for my peace of mind and their safety.
Maybe you should recommend that she go to a shelter and adopt a cat. There are millions of animals that are euthanized every year in shelters. Maybe she could save a life and adopt a cat that needs a home, instead of stealing one that already has one.
Plus, she'll get a cat that already has been socialized and is a bit older and calmed down. Kittens are fun but if you really want a companion animal an adult is best :P
