Inhaling steam - over a pan of hot water towel over head. Use vik in there its great

10 drops of lavender 5 drops of cinammon oil in a hot bath at night. 10 drops Tea tree in a hot bath in the day!

Increase vit c - lots of fresh fruit - plenty of garlic to foods. cut out sugary starchy milky foods. A short cleansing diet of just fruit salads plenty of liquids such as warm fruit juices and herb teas will encourage the body to throw off the cold more effectively.

Although you can take lemsip ....

I have had everything I would recommend and nothing is working for me so much so that on Wednesday I am going back to my GP for my 3rd lot of anti-biotics!!!! I have had this for 4+ weeks now I still can't talk!!! I have decogestants prescribed that make me drowsey, nasal drops and I have had steam coming out of my ears.......and still nothing!!!

Forget natural remedies babe, seriously get to the GP's and see if there is anything s/he can recommend (in case you are PG), everyone here (my house) has been on anti-biotics as have my sister's lot and now my Aunts lot!

Hope you feel better soon! x

i told the doctor on the phone when i phoned about having thrush and she just told me to take paracetamol and make sure i dont take inbuprofen or aspirin (i did take 2 aspirin the other day because it was anadin and i thought anadin was paracetamol)...whoops! I know id feel a bit better if i could take nurofen...it always works wonders for me!. My throat has eased up a lot today so even though i feel more groggy and like i may vomit the sore throat wa the worst! I hope your throat gets better soon! I reccommend chewing gum for your hroat it always helps me a bit for some reason!

Yep I was going to say Vitamin C as your levels lower if you have a cold or flu.

Hope you feel better soon.
