Ok, I've not had nosebleeds since I was 16...

this afternoon I'd gone to bed (I sleep funy times) and I woke up, a couple of seconds later, I felt summit pop and the next thing I knew there was blood everywhere! Feels like I've been smacked in the face...

anyone know why people can get spontanious nose bleeds?

My little brother gets that all the time.. He had to have the inside of his nose sautered. ( the blood vessels) He cant have any medications that cause the thinning of blood like asprin.

Alot of times if you are taking antihistamines (sp) it can dry out your sinuses thus causing your blood vesels to thin....Also, If you have been sick with a cold that can happen to...... I wouldnt worry about it too much unless it happens again....Then call your Dr to be safe.
