Bloody virgin media

First of all i'd like to state for the record that i am not racist in any way

Last month we decided to get v+ fitted and the old box put in the bedroom
The engineer arrived and spent 20 minutes sitting outside in his van which i found quite odd, then another van pulled up we soon found out why, apparently the guys work sheet said that he was to fit a standard cable box not a v+ it was only by some fluke that he found out about the v+

so the engineers come in and install the v+ (£150 installiation fee which includes the price of the box) call head office to set it up i enquire if they will be fitting the old box in the bedroom i'm told no its not on the sheet and they cant do what not on the sheet which is understandable, i also find out the hdmi cable which allows us to watch hd tv isnt in the box and i'll have to order one (did 2 weeks ago still waiting) i also had to rearrange for an enginner to come out and fit the cable in the bedroom funnily enough it was the same one that fitted the v+ in the first place

Today the phone bill arrives its £177.81 which is way more than we usually pay, as i'm reading through the bill i notice a monthly charge for the v+ (sorry seem to be typing V+ a lot oops sorry just did it again)

so i call up virgin media i get put through to a foriegn lady who has trouble understanding me i see this isnt going well so hang up i phone again and once again i get her i hang up i wait a few minutes and call again i now get a foriegn gentleman he asks for my accoount number silence i say hello to make sure he hasnt just died he asks for name of account, and password which i give then he asks how he can help i explain my problem and he replies so you are having a problem with youur telephone bill

I hang up cursing at the phone now i know its not the individuals fault but why the hell cant virgin media employ english speaking call centre staff although in my case a scottish speaking one would be great lol infact why cant they just employ staff with a IQ capacity higher than 12 that way when i ask for a new service or product i get it right away

right i'm gonna go play with my new toy

Weve had tonnes of problems with them too. Theyre useless.

Demons call centre is the worst though, I have to ring them at work and I always get really angry at them but I know its not their fault, but they just dont understand what Im saying!

Hope you get it sorted out

xxx

Fully understand your frustration - BT are just as bad we are still on dialup thanks to some fuck wit! Tuesday they were to reconnect and Tuesday we're told it was cancelled by 'mistake' keeping in mind the fact we lost broadband was a 'mistake' 2 weeks no connection expected to sit and do nothing seems to be acceptable but call wise its the same and Im sorry what use is it of 'british' telecom (see the joke) to have people that A) dont understand you and B) you don't understand them.

Have to say when it comes down to my fiances, my money, my life I get rather fucked off getting through to India call centre esspecially when its my banking. Its not acceptable but do we have a choice at the end of it.

See, this just reminds me of something I saw on "The Hour" (a CBC late night production, talk show type thing) last night. A guy in Alberta, Canada, went to get a cell phone plan. He gets one that is $9.99 per month with unlimited web browsing.

So he gets the bright idea to use it as his modem. So he's downloading HD full length movies and all that. Then, he gets his bill........$85,000.00! And no, that's not a misprint. 85 thousand dollars! So he calls up Bell and they, as a goodwill gesture, reduce it to $3,200.00. Geez....
