Yeah thats a good idea to ask for a receipt Tam...

I have a rent book as I dont have a standing order set up as OH and I just found it easier just to pop into the rent office to pay and then we knew where we were at. If we forget the rent book they always give us a receipt and we just take it down the following month along with us and they fill it in the rent book but they always have duplicates. But as you say, They cannot argue with their own paper work and i beleive they are obliged to give you a receipt if you ask for one. X

do u pay by DD or SO to the rent ppl i would keep all bank statements if u can prove it leaves ur account and it does not come bk in i.e 3days later this sometimes happen when u ave the wrong details of a DD/SO it get sent bk to ur bank account defo keep all statements as lng as u can prove it leaves ur account they have no leg to stand on xx

Alan said they should have been giving paul receipts every time he payed the rent (this is how he payed his rent also and always got given a receipt)
they have messed up big time
hope you get it all sorted for christmas hun

Thats just UNBELIEVABLE that they're doing that. I would take a copy of the receipts in person and show them their proof and if that doesn't work, I would definitely threaten legal action if they keep trying to kick you out of the house. They sound exactly like our old rental agency, a bunch of crooks in business suits. Ugh, I hope things turn out ok for you hon. I would have punched one of the agents a long time ago, but I think thats my hormones talking . Good luck hon, keep us updated

EVERY payment has gone out to them and we DO have proof......we went thru this last year too, so we know it will stop, it is just how to stop it happening every year.
