I don't know why I am so suprised, Jade asks us about 50 times a day "how many days til christmas?"........mind you, I was saying 20 earlier, 19 just sounds so much nearer

I started off so well, 20th October we went out and bought a lot of pressies for family and finished 99% of them, I wrapped them and put them away ready. We even bought 99% of our grocery goodies. Great, I am going to be all sorted like the last time I had a proper Christmas at home! But no........not quite to be

Last weekend we was going to sort this house and get it ready for the decorations to go up next weekend (which is now this weekend) and sort the kiddies rooms (we have just switched Jade into Alfie's and Alfie will be having Jade's room) but I was unwell and Paul never felt too clever either so nothing got done! Now I see 19 days til Christmas and it has just dawned on me, "HOW THE HELL AM I GOING TO BE PREPARED AND HAVE A GET TOGETHER ON CHRISTMAS EVE?!

Jade's old room needs completely gutting, she is starting a fresh with her toys and stuff, so basically all of it is going down the tip, but there is some huge stuff to shift too, so I think that is going to have to wait til after Christmas now, so Alfie will have to stay in with us (which I love anyway ) til sometime in the new year as we will never get Jade's new room done in time as well, and we can't have her in with us too

I have 2 christmas cakes to do, which I have barely even thought about nevemind check to see if I need to order anything for them!

It is going to be a disaster I can just feel it! Paul doesn't pack up work til the 21st although he is going to take that as a holiday....we have only bought Jade 5 things and can't do anything else til we both get paid on the 20th....so what a rush that will be!

To top it all, I have an ear infection, a rotten cough, sore throat and feel like doing none of the above!

You know those times when you feel that you are flogging a dead horse?! I am having one........

But on the good side, I have been drinking Bailey's to help my throat and to stop coughing and once my anti-biotics kick in, I think I will take some pro-plus and drink lots of Red Bull, and work like bloody Cinderella who DID manage to go to the ball (just don't remind me how she managed it)

I am also going to ask Paul for an hour a night once he gets home so we can make a start getting the house ready, and before we know it, it should be nearly there!


Corrrr I feel loads better now.....Panic over!!


Just to add, I know alcohol & anti-biotics don't mix, I only got the tablets tonight, so I am starting them tomorrow and giving up the Baileys!

Goodness. Im going to have a hetic next 19 days, what with waiting for our little angel to arrive too

I have finished most of my Christmas shopping, just waiting to do those finishing touches now. Im waiting until OH and I can go together to finish it off.

We finished our food shopping this morning for the rest of the month apart from fresh meats and vegetables which will need to be bought fresh as and when we want/need them.

Christmas day will be a slight kerfuffle. Mam is at her blokes for Christmas in Saltburn so heading over there in the afternoon (also means no cooking for me to do. Just bottle making) as we have visits to make Christmas morning and no doubt every one will want to ahh and coo over our new addition to the family.
Plus on a good note Chris is allowed to see his Daughter from previous relationship on Christmas day this year for the first time ever so I'm wanting to make it extra special for them. I think Christmas this year is going to mean so much to us all. Im really looking forward to it. I really enjoy Christmas. Its just getting the hussle and bussle out the way with presents etc.
