I made a video of mine because our tree is fibre optic and my camera made it look as if it had no lights etc. Heres mine:

Still got more to do though to make it look more cosy/christmassy. We also have some lace snowflakes hanging on the curtain rail.

Ohhh Tilly what a good idea to film it, I too have a fibre Optic one and it don't take good pics!!!

Our place looks like a grotto when it is done.....we have a wall with clear lights and snow over it, and infront we have a table with a village scene and other christmasy bits and our 7ft fibre Optic tree, which we also put fairy lights on and a 4ft Santa!
