we are currently TTC #2 but with #1(joshua) i had him at hospital but i felt like once i walked through the hospital doors my control was taken away.

the midwives were not very helpful.

i wanted an active birth but midwives told me to stay on the bed.
i was in labour for 22 hours and thats a long time to stay on a bed in one postion.

i had to stay in over night with joshua and in the morning i needed to go to the toilet so called a nurse as i hadnt been shown where they were and i had an epi so the midwife told me that when i needed the toilet i should call a nurse to help me as i had an epi.
so thats what i did and the nurse came over to my bed and said yeah the toilets are over there,so i had to go om my own.


with baby #2 i like the thought of a home birth but how do i get one?
i want to be in control as such and take my time and if i want to walk around i can.

i think you just tell ur mw that you would like a home birth and make the arrangements between you.

i agree with the girls, just talk to your mw hon, i do think with no 2 i would be much more assertive. if thats what you want, then def, tell your mw xx
