I'm Currently Feeling:

AOL Wifi....

Just wondering if anyone else is signing up/signed up to the AOL Laptop offer?
We did about 2 and a half weeks ago but I think its starting to be more trouble than its worth.

The day we ordered we gave them the MAC code twice then a week later we got a letter saying 'we need your MAC Code' so my OH called & gave it them again. Today we got 2 letters one saying 'We need your MAC Code' and the other a sign on name and password? Confusing?
Anyway the phone rang earlier and it was AOL and he asked to speak to my OH and when I said he was at work the lad asked if he could speak to me about it, to which I said yes! Then the battery went on the cordless phone, ahhhh! So I called them back and got through to someone who barely spoke english and couldn't understand what I was saying and vise versa. She was asking about my line rental so I told her atm I pay BT, then she asked if I was sure? Ummm yeah!!! Then she told me to 'go on hold' I had to hang up, it was pointless carrying on!
Called again and got through to someone else who barely spoke english so I asked about our order and he checked and said he couldn't speak to me due to data protection, fair enough but why did someone ring an hou earlier and was willing to talk to me?

It seems more troub than its worth, I know you get a laptop but by the time you've paid for all the calls you have to make to chase them!!

Anyone else had any probs?

Grrrrrrr, I'm in a ranty mood today!!!

xx

I've been with AOL for 4 years and the only problem I've ever had was the last time I moved house. They took about 6 weeks to get me connected, but when I complained, they gave me 2 months free!

Never had a problem apart from that.
