Why are we so obsessed about post counts?

Feels pretty great to reach a certain amount of posts and to be upgraded to a new level I suppose, am I correct? Or is it curiousity of what that level will be called when you reach it?

I have over 22,000 posts and am very proud of it, but I am proud of the fact that I earned it, I believe, in good nature.

I get excited about reaching a new level because I don't like being one of the lowest. But I know what you mean, it's nice to know you've earnt it in good nature rather than just filling up threads with continuous spam.

Im not obsessed about my post count, never have been! I spend as much time on here as Toria does but i tend to read more than post. I normally only post when im answering somebodys post or have a question of my own. I dont spam like the rest of them!

I know people think I spam to just get my post count up but I really don't. I do generally try to be helpful/contribute to threads (though like everyone there are times when I just use the or another blinky )

I don't think anyone likes to feel like their posts aren't helpful.

I wanted to know what would happen when I got to 20k!
