i had one of those the other

i had a fake email from Paypal. i sold my camera on ebay and it sold for £160 and i got an email from "paypal" saying before the customer pays for the item i have to email paypal saying the shipping number of the parcel so it was proof that i have sent it. (which i thought it was dodgy) but when i look at the email address it was PAYPAL.CO.UK which the proper address for paypal is PAYPAL.COM

(the email looked nearly identical to a paypal email)
just thought i would share

i think its fake. whenever i get an email like that i google some of the text of the email, if it's phishing, chances are, someone else has already written about it on the web. also urban legends at about dot com is great for searching out that kind of stuff.

Glad you sent that to Paypal....I made a Thread a few weeks back with the email I got and It had the same reply from Paypal....However the fakers Used my name... So everyone Really! watch out for Fake Paypal messages...It would be a shame to see someones bank accounts get cleared out from Scammers....
