I've not heard that before, but im not saying it's not true, who knows? I think cats are very sensitive and can sense hormonal changes, except cats are likely to feel more rejected than dogs (who usually get more protective) so they like lots of attention.

My cat used to sleep under the covers with me, sometimes id wake up and she'd be laying next to me like a human with her paws and head sticking outthey also like to attack your feet under the covers!

Not cruel! We do that to our cats all the time. Although they usually jump back on during the night or when we're not looking during the day...and we're had too many times when we roll our cats in the night and one doesn't care...we've also used our cats as pillows and they don't care! Although they've gotten us too...we have a king size bed and we've woken up to each of us (DH and I) being at the VERY edge of the bed, almost falling off, and the 2 cats are stretched out in the middle! How the hell does that happen? Between the 2 of them they have more bed then the 2 humans!
