Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy

Some of you already know that I have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), I'm starting a campaign to raise awareness of RSD and the first step in it is the myspace page - www.myspace.com/fightingrsd

What I'm hoping is that through my campaign and other peoples campaigns, that fewer people will end up like me, because more people will be diagnosed faster and treated within the critical 3-6 months.

Please, click on the RSD picture, here or in my signature, and if you have myspace please add me and spread the word by asking your friends to add me too.

RSD can happen to anyone, my limbs don't work properly now cause I slipped on a wet floor and sprained my knee and ankle....that's all it took! It never got better!

A few women have got RSD because they had SPD while they were pregnant....their SPD never got better...

yep.

It's most common after an injury...a minor one at that.

There's 2 kinds, one where a nerve was severed, and the other where it wasn't - mine's the latter.

On rarer occasions, someone will just wake up one morning and it'll be there, the intense pain, the deep burning, that part just not doing as it's told, cold to touch, silly colours, swelling (look at the pics on the site - they're my feet during a flare up) and so forth.
