I'm Currently Feeling: | Hypnorm (or anyone else) You were vet weren't you?
What are the pros of getting the female cat 'done' bar the obvious lol and assuming there are more pros.
I can't find my old thread but I'm getting peeved off with my kitty pissing on our sofa!! Smack bang in the middle & I'm at the end of it now that I am strongly considering her to be rehomed which is sad because she is such a hard little kitty to get to come out and sit with you etc she had a bad start in life & I feel it would be a negative thing for her to accept being with with other people.
One thing that was a possibility from advice last time was maybe the litter tray wasn't as clean as the lady would have liked (lol) but last week my OH heard her in her litter tray, scuffled about THEN went upstairs and did a little poo at the bottom of my bed (floor) & the litter tray had been cleaned that day The sofa is the main one though I'm starting to loose my temper. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Getting the cat "done" may or may not stop the spraying. Once they've started, unfortunately, getting them fixed doesn't always make them quit (although most people I've talked to has said that it helped). There are a lot of health benefits though. Cats who have been fixed have less chance of getting several types of cancer.
Have you changed the brand of litter she's been using recently? We ended up buying 3 different types of litter before we found one that my older cat thought was acceptable | | | | Status: Offline

Have you had her checked for a UTI (urinary tract infection), sometimes that will cause cats to pee/poop outside of the box.
I really do think at this point though it's probably best to get her fixed...I don't think she'll stop spraying otherwise | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | It would kill me to do it but I have to think of the babies moses basket, cot, play mats, pram, car seat ... etc. I had the moses basket in the dining room the other week that I bought as a second because we both work from home theres bedoom, livingroom & office and within 24 hours she's jumped up to sleep in it. Wasn't a happy bunny but if she pisses in or on something of babies well .... can't risk it don't want to type thing |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I agree with you completely on that, the baby comes before the cat. I love my two monsters to pieces, but if they ever did anything that I viewed as a threat against my (future) child I'd have to rehome them as well. Keeping my fingers crossed that getting her fixed works for you | | | | Status: Offline
