Tim Hortons Complaint (Canadians)

I am not sure if this is just the Timmys I went to, but I am really pissed off as this is the second place now that I went to that was not baby friendly at all.

Just wanted to share so no one else got stuck like I did.

March 14, 2009
Dear Sir or Madam:
Yesterday I went for lunch at your Leduc, Alberta (5603 – 50 ST) location. I am a new mother, and I had brought my 5 month old daughter and her great grandmother. We thought your restaurant would be a nice place to catch up over lunch and a coffee. We had to sit in a cramped spot in the corner and my grandmother had asked for a cup of cold water to take a few pills with her lunch. The man working the coffee station was very rude and after much debate, gave her a mug of hot water. We disregarded all of this and we were still in good spirits as we sat down to eat. After our food, I was appalled that, when I had to change my daughter’s diaper, I had to change her on the dirty floor of the washroom on top of my winter coat as you do not have a changing station like every other family establishment does. Is Tim Horton’s not a “family friendly” restaurant? Most places these days have a changing table (I am sure you could afford them) on the wall in the Woman’s as well as the Men’s washrooms.

My Grandfather grew up with Tim Horton in Cochrane, Ontario and says Tim himself would be shocked as he was a family man. I am sure the revenue lost by my relatives and I not visiting your restaurants would be the equivalent cost of a change table.

Please contact me if you have any plan to remedy this. Until then I will be having my coffee at Starbucks. Yes even in this economy.

Sincerely,
Wendy Shea

I find Tim Horton's rest rooms to be some of the worst I've seen!!!

Good letter - hope it gets a response, and some action taken!!

I'm appalled... Which one did you go to? By the hotel or by the grocery store? Curious so I don't go there too.

I was happy when I went to the local on the other day asthey had highchairs (which made life easier) but I didn't have to change Boo so I didn't even think about that. I'm going to call down and ask if they have change stations here, now I'm curious about it.

On another note.. I was surprised that one of the local childrens stores in the mall has a bathroom but no change table too, strange things sometimes

I would have changed her on a table in the dining room!! What are they going to tell you? "No you have to change her on the dirty bathroom floor? That's ridiculous!

I would have if I wasn't sitting at the worlds smallest table. I was contemplating changing her on the counter where you wait for your soup and sandwiches.

I actually did do this once in a food court. The bathroom had no change facilities so we stuck her on a table and changed her there
