I am with you I hate them. If I see one hubby has to kill it and then show me the dead body, just so i know he isn't lying.

If I am home alone, I stand as far back as I can and I spray insect spray until they are completly covered in white foam from the spray, then when they drop dead I put a glass over them and wait till hubby gets home. Well now my eldest son laughs at me and gets a tissue and picks it up and flushes it. lol.

Im not as bothered about spiders, only scared of the really huge ones, its wasps that I dont like, but lucky for me there's hardly any about now. If a wasp lands on my I have a panic attack and go stiff and say "get if off me get it off me" if it doesnt go Im close to tears lol

I hate them creep me out something rotten.

Even had a dream once the a giant spider was crawling up my bed about to get me so I screamed and ran out of the room bawling my eyes out DH thought the house was on fire and jumped out of bed and started running round the room naked

I was stood next to a tarantula size spider one night getting stripped for bed and I turned round in my undies face to face with it and I ended up bawling my eyes out and rocking back and forth on the bed irrational because it had seen me getting changed and I hadn't noticed it "looking at me"

I'm the same Dionne, little ones I can kill myself but big ones DH kills and they all have to be killed...no sympathy for the little buggers.
My sister always puts hers outside but they'll come back in so if you kill them they can't.

Think it's because the weather is getting cooler they're sneeking in *shivers*

Im in the same position. I also live in a new house. Moved in last July after it was finished built in June and errr there always seems to be cobwebs every where but i never see them and i hate them. Today I came down stairs and Chris gets excited when winding me up about things, So as i walked down the stairs I could hear him laughing to himself, then he asked me to go in the front room and look in the vase (empty i threw the flowers out) and there in the bottom was a great big spider. Honestly it was huge nad had about 8 eyes. I screamed and Chris thought it was Hilarious. I made him throw it away down the road. I wasnt having it hiding in my garden. I have no idea where it came from but a while back next doors house alarm kept going off and when they told me why it was because a spider had buildt a nest behind the sensor in the garage and when they called across it set the alarm off.

I hate them

Ugh! Had a bad spider experience today. Bravely went to the tip at the weekend in my car with a load of garden rubbish. As I was loading the children into the car earlier I noticed a web and a couple of little spiders which I bravely (notice there is a lot of bravery so far) squished.

Anyway set off and as I pulled out onto the main road I focussed on this frankly massive spider on my window inside!!! Slammed on the breaks in the middle of the road, blocking it and considered for a moment leaping out of the car and running until I remembered that the children were with me. Managed to hold it together long enough to get a tissue and squash it. Thought I was pretty clever to put my hazard warning lights on, like that would've saved an insurance claim when someone hit us.

Ugh, I have been itching all day and the spider is smeared all over my window. It might seem excessive, but I have booked my car in for a valet on Wednesday. I checked that they basically go over it with a fine tooth comb. £50 well spent if you ask me. *shiver*

i hate spiders too! i can cope with tiny ones and i will squich them but the larger they get the more freaked out i become!
i always have fly spray in the house as if i'm on my own at least i can use that but, i've had some huge buggers that have been resistant to the spray so iusually lob a thick book at them! yellow pages is good.

I dont want to pass my fear to Ewan though, i have to remain calm when ewan says 'spider' 'mummy get spider!' uuumm NOOOO!!!
