My Letter To IVF Wales...

please can you tell me what you think and im terrible at these things esp paragraphs and grammar lol

To Whom it May Concern,

I am writing this complaint to you as I feel that my husband and I have been treated unfairly. We attended an IVF Wales appointment wit ‘Mr *** PhD MRCOG’ who we found very insensitive to our subject of weight and infertility. We are very grateful of being helped through the NHS and not having to pay a lot of money for the treatment where others may have to but he overuled our medical issues with our weight although we had informed him I have depression and this does not help my weight issue. He didn’t explain anything at our consultation and left us more puzzled and confused than before we attended this appointment. We found him very rude as he lost a sheet of notes at our first appointment which delayed us longer to book our next appointment and while we were waiting to book our next appointment at the waiting arae of the clinic he handed me a piece of paper of which he had noted for me to lose weight by our next appointment and explained I needed to lose this weight. I found that very upsetting, rude and unprofessional!. I had already tried to explain to him that I am finding it hard to lose weight and attend a gym already and participate in exercise but he made it feel as though I wasn’t

We were hoping to attend this appointment and feel a bit better knowing something was being done about our fertility issues because we have been trying for a child for two and a half years now since the two miscarriages we suffered back nearly 3 years ago. Dr *** suggested an ultrasound scan to see if they could find PCOS which may be causing infertility and he explained there will be doctors and people training for this at the same time as my scan, and I received a letter in the post not long ago saying I had agreed to this which I did not as I would not feel comfortable with. Up until now we have been told about IVF treatment and not once did Dr *** inform us that I had to be the age of 23 to be eligible for treatment and has left us under the illusion (until today) we will be going back in April to continue our appointments. I am shocked an appalled at the lack of communication skills Dr *** Failed to achieve at our appointment resorting to us having to speak to the nurses at the IVF Wales suite to find out what happens next and to find out im not eligible for any further treatment, the nurses at IVF wales were very kind and understanding and we feel that they helped us more than Dr *** did at our appointment.

We will now be trying for a child on our own again after failing to get help from anyone because im under 23 which I think is unfair as my partner is 25 in a few weeks and myself 21 in a few weeks and we have both suffered from this ordeal and feel neglected because of our age and because Dr *** feels my weight is an issue when clearly it isn't as i have concieved a child naturally in the past.
