What do you think of my letter of complaint??

I am writing to national express about the disgraceful servieve mothers with young children get

What do you think?? And am i right to complain??

To Whom it may concern

On the 21st February I traveled from Milton Keynes to Hull. I have been doing this journey with your company for almost 6 years now and have always considered your company to provide a good quality and sufficient service.

Although now I am writing to make a complaint on the disgraceful service mothers with young children get. I was traveling with my fiance, mother and 10 week old son. When I boarded the coach there were no seats left where I could sit next to my son. I asked a number of passengers if they would mind moving to a different seat so I could be next to him and many refused to give there's up. One woman even said "I can't". So my partner asked the driver if he could ask someone to move to a different seat. His response was " I cannot make them move". I personally think this attitude is disgraceful. My son as I said is only 10 weeks old I do not want him sitting next to a complete stranger. For one he would get scared if he woke up and could not see me. Another point is I was made to feel a nuisance by your driver for daring to ask for assistance in being seated.

Luckily a person did finally offer to move so I could be seated next to my son. But I felt very uncomfortable for the rest of the journey because of how the driver had made me feel. I payed a lot of money for that journey and I think the service me and my son received was disgraceful. I think it is about time that National express start making it easier for mothers to travel with young children otherwise you will be losing a lot of your customers

In conclusion I am seriously considering whether I should use your service again. This would be a great loss of business for you as I travel to and from Milton Keynes with my family, 3 or more times a year. Not once have a found a problem until now and I am very disappointed.

Yours sincerely
Miss heather Tonkinson

Did you have to pay for your son? That makes a HUGE difference to your complaint.

If you had to pay for him, then Yes of course it would have been wise for you to be sat next to him and the drive should have been more accomodating, but if you didn't pay for a seat for him, then I doubt complaining will get you anywhere TBH as he wasn't entitled to a seat in the first place x

I think if you feel you have received a disservice then it's vital you complain. I'm not sure it's national expresses fault that people won't move, but the driver could have attempted to help you in some way.

Really good letter though, nice one

I think you have the right to complain about that. Maybe they should put up signs for certain seats to be open to pregnant women and women with young children. We had those when I was in Korea for a year on the subway and people were generally nice to move and let me sit
