Apitmel Comfort - Hungry Baby Milk?? Anyone Done It?

Okay my LO has had a few milk problems since birth, not sure if it was an intollerance or extreme colic, either way he has been on Aptimel comfort for some time now, he is almost 5 months, and seems to be going backwards in his routine. He had started sleeping 7pm-4am(bottle then back off to sleep until 8am) Now he is waking at 11.30pm, 2am, 5am, and then 8am(having a 7oz bottle at every one of these times!)

Now my question is would it benefit him more changing to hungry baby milk? Especially as the comfort milk causes him to have watery nappies aswell. HV advised weaning, which we have started but not making the slightest bit of diference.

Comfort and HB are complete oppisites. I wouldnt advise you to switch to HB without at least attempting stage 1 milk again first. Even changing back to stage one milk should be done gradually due to the amount of 'extras' in comfort.

Comfort is easier to digest than first milk
Hungry baby is harder to digest than first milk.

There are ALOT of growth spurts weaning isnt always the answer xx

I know weaning won't always benefit however I also know he is hungry and this isn't just a growth spurt. Well I spoke to hv again before coming back to this thread and she suggested it was worth ago, so he is trying it and 1.drinking more ounces, sleeping improved, and much more happier.

I found my son done the same on the aptmal comfort he would not settle and didn't really help with the colic thinks he's been on nearly every type and brand of baby milk untill i found the rite one.

Aptamal seem to be a lighter formula than the other brands and may not be heavy enough to settle ur lo.

I ended up putting my little boy on SMA Staydown as he also had reflux and has worked a treat as for the colic i give him infacol and that works really well as long as u give it before every feed. he has been sleeping 8 hrs every nite for the last month

We went onto cow and gate comfort when my baby was 2 weeks old as he was consipated and colicy... well it worked ok but after a couple of weeks he was having real trouble pooing and when he did it was explosive and green, he was also being sick alot after each feed. I had read that hipp organic can be good for sicky babies so sent my fella out to get some. He came back with the hungry baby one by mistake but we tried it anyway and the difference has been remarkable!! He now poos atleast 3 times a day, sleeps brilliantly at night and although he is still sick sometimes it is only a small amount. So, although they are complete opposites (comfort and hungry milk) it would seem that our baby gets on alot better with the hungry baby milk and is so much happier. Strange but true
