Ready made formula advise?

Sorry if this is a really thick question. Well i usually pre-make bottles from powder and store in fridge, but occasionally run out and use the ready made cartons. But it's a nuisance sterilising a fresh bottle every time, so wondering if i can sterilise a few bottles, fill them up using the cartons and store at the back of fridge for the day, is that okay to do? x

I had asked a HV the same thing & she said that she didn't see why not & it should be ok - as long as the bottles are used within the sterile time (I use a TT electric steam steriliser & the bottles stay sterile 24 hrs in the steriliser until the lid is opened, then for a further 24 hrs once you take bottles out & put them together). Hope this is of some help x

Thanks , i'm unsure about with my steriliser then as it's only sterile for 6 hours and then when opened the bottles aren't ment to be sterile anymore will check with my health visitor when she comes tommorrow x

yeah no harm to run it by your HV. Re the steriliser, its worth emailing/phoning the manufacturer to check how long bottles would remain sterile once you take them out & put them together. On the TT instructions it only says they remain sterile for up to 24 hrs as long as lid hasn't been lifted - so I emailed TT & they confirmed that the bottles stay sterile for a further 24 hrs once put together. I suppose otherwise it wouldn't really make sense to have a steriliser that can sterilise 6 bottles at a time x
