| Should I switch formulas? Hi
I haven't done much posting in this section so far but I have a question.
As you can see Lola-Rose is 17 days old.So far I have been using Enfamil formula and it worked like a charm.
At two weeks she was feeding 4oz every 3-4 hours,no problems with it,no fussiness. She loved it.
But three days ago her tummy got quite unsettled and gassy and she hasn't been eating much at all.
I was planning on switching her formula,BUT after massaging her yesterday for hours and keeping a warm cloth on her tummy she got much better! and she ate perfectly!
Should I still change her formula? Any suggestions which one,and how do I do it?
Thanks everyone! |

| It might be worth speaking to your health visitor with regards to changing it |

| I wouldn't change it yet... If the massage and warm cloth helped her she may just have some discomfort from growing... They develope alot in their tummy's at this point, changing formulas too much will just make it worse.
Although it may help to speak to a specialist in your area if it continues. Although women who breastfeed suffer through weeks of their baby being unsettled and colicky and they still manage through it. |

| I wouldn't change it, change of milk can really upset babies tummies it did mine and took a week to settle her again. |

Thanks everyone! | Do you know something that just dawned on me? I do wonder if it's the stage/week they are in or the growth stage they are in. I do believe Chase was about the same age as Lola-Rose when I had the constipation issues.
Quite honestly, perhaps it's just a growing thing and you may not need to switch over. |

| I asked my HV about switching to soya milk and she said no way. Only do it if LO is intolerante of other milk. |

| Hi hun, Rihanna is just a day older than Lola and had the same problem yesterday all day n night.... I ended up giving her a warm bath in the end and she slept for 7 hours cos she was so tired.
I wouldnt change it as the other ladies have said.... Maybe just an off day / little bit of Colic or growth spurt.

| Hiya
Sounds like she may be having a growth spurt. Changing milk can give them a bad tummy as their digestive system is so immature and it's only just getting used to the one they're on. Only change to a non cows milk one if bubs is intolerant. Hope she feels feels better soon, sounds like the warm cloth and massage did the trick |
